The first time I learned about PCI Media Impact was during a social studies research training I took part in at my college (I studied journalism), located in Cali - Colombia in 2014. <br><br>When I moved to New York, I would often try to reconnect and collaborate with them in one way or another, simply because I was fully impressed and amazed by all the work that they had done. <br><br>As a volunteer, I got the chance to listen and understand the company “behind the scenes”, as well as each day’s activities and big bets. I also translated a couple print materials and helped translate live meetings in real time.<br><br>I highly recommend volunteering for this organization because you will be able to learn from the experience; especially how stories and entertainment could transform communities.

Puah Institute is a wonderful organization which is devoted to helping couples with fertility problems and women in all stages of life fulfill their dream of building a family while also offering worldwide supervision of fertility treatments.<br>Couples worldwide receive personal counseling, free of charge, in a most sensitive, caring and discreet environment according to halacha. The counselors are experts in specialized training in modern reproductive medicine as well as rabbinical knowledge. They also refer their couples to the appropriate doctor who specializes in the treatment required. I know firsthand of friends who have been helped by Puah's involvement, guidance and tremendous devotion and caring.

The Clinica Verde means hope, health for poor communities, comprehensive care, promotion of equity and passion in their goals in Boaco, Nicaragua.I support and love their job and commitment

It has been wonderful being not only a patient but I am now a team member. I am so grateful being a part of this ministry. Everyone on the team is so helpful, kind and generous. Everyone is so focused on dazzling our patients, each other and our volunteers. Love being here!

I had the opportunity a few months ago to visit Togo and see firsthand the impact that GPiH is making every day. With such a strong focus on sustainability, I am very impressed with the way they operate as an organization.

I got to intern here in college. I fell in love with the people and the mission so much that after I graduated, I decided to volunteer with their teen pregnancy outreach, Mama Club. The heart and soul of this organization is the devoted people who pour so much of themselves into their missions—whether it is supporting birth mothers, adoptive families, or teen moms/dads, APO is never short on love and dedication.

I support this organization after reviewing its website and learning about the programs it runs. The work they do is truly amazing, and I love giving more whenever I can.

Finding AIDS RESOURCE Health Clinic has been transformative for my healthcare experience. After years of feeling uncomfortable or having to educate my providers about basic LGBTQ issues, I finally found a place where I can just be myself. From the intake forms that actually reflect my reality (with inclusive options for gender identity and chosen name) to gender-neutral bathrooms, every detail shows that this clinic was designed for our community. It's the small things that make such a huge difference – being called by my correct name and pronouns without having to correct anyone and knowing my provider understands the specific health concerns I face. The medical care itself is outstanding. My doctor is knowledgeable about hormone therapy, PrEP, and other LGBTQ-specific healthcare needs, and approaches everything with sensitivity and expertise. I never have to explain or justify who I am – we can just focus on keeping me healthy.

Life Network is an absolute blessing to the Colorado Springs community. My volunteer shifts on Monday and Friday afternoons are the highlight of my week!

Two pregnant women chose life and my husband and I were blessed with two adopted sons!! What a blessing and there are many folks out there wanting children, so I'm all PRO-LIFE and support Choices Pregnancy centers!!

I have been a volunteer with PINCC in Kenya and India over the past 10 years. Each trip is a unique blend of hard work, cultural exchange and stepwise progress towards our goal of preventing cervical cancer worldwide. The volunteer teams are highly motivated to share their knowledge and skills in screening and treatment of precancerous lesions of the cervix but it is the trainee’s dedication to their local communities that is most inspiring. I am proud to be a part of this wonderful organization.

Because Every New Mom Deserves A Village:<br><br>When my son was born in 2011, I struggled. Fortunately, I had a great village to help me adjust to being a new mom. Not all moms have their proverbial village to help raise a child. <br><br>MomsBloom is a non-profit organization that encourages new moms. It is a volunteer-driven group of women who raise awareness about PPD, offers in-house support to new moms, and helps new moms make connections in the community. MomsBloom advocates for healthy babies and families in West Michigan. <br><br>I joined MomsBloom as a volunteer in 2012, to help provide a village to other new moms who were not as fortunate as I was. As MomsBloom grew, I utilized my background in communications and knowledge of social media to help MomsBloom grow its online presence: https://momsbloom.org/ <br><br>In 2014, we launched our first #GivingTuesday campaign. We surpassed our modest goal of $1000 donations by 25%! It was so rewarding to contribute to the success of this great organization, which is why I continue to support MomsBloom as a Social Media Manager, organizing volunteer drives, creating online communities for new moms, and launching another #GivingTuesday campaign this year. I hope to double last year's donations using the social media tactics shared by #GivingTuesday and reaching out to our volunteers and the over 1000 families we have served in West Michigan!<br><br>#MyGivingStory <br><br><br>

I have been donating to Wings Guatemala for over 15 years. I also visited their offices 10 years ago.<br>Wings Guatemala is a great organization. They do excellent work in helping women and families to plan their desired family size. They also help to improve women's health.<br>I will continue to donate and support for years to come. The best way to help the world and the environment is to prevent unwanted pregnancies and improve women's health.

Waterleaf is an amazing place!! It provides unbiased, non-judgmental, factual, caring, kind advice and information to women facing an unplanned pregnancy. It was been my privilege to volunteer at Waterleaf a few days a week for the last three and a half years. It was has been a joy to walk alongside the women and men on their journey. Waterleaf is run with professionalism and excellence. I cannot say enough good about Waterleaf and the staff and volunteers. They are amazing people with hearts of gold!

I have worked on the Board of FA for almost ten years. Their commitment to the cause of reproductive choice is admirable. The organization is fiercely dedicated to maintaing the political infrastructure necessary to protect a woman's right to choose. These religious leaders are passionate, articulate, and courageous. They have a network of support for women who struggle with their choices, who seek counseling in times of stress and crisis. Their presence is highly valued by women who are accompanied into clinics while being threatened by anti-choice bullies, when testifying before congressional hearings and committees, or when speaking in public or to the media about a woman's right to choose. I am a proud member of this fine organization. <br>

Mother and Unborn Baby Care of Long Island Inc provides a loving and welcoming haven that is second to none. The enormous decision to end a pregnancy in most cases by far stems from the mother's fear of poverty, rejection and an inability to care for her coming child. This nonprofit offers every conceivable way to assist in the survival of the child AND the mother, either by enabling the mother to care for her child, or facilitating the gift of adoption. The message loud and clear is that life and love truly matter.

As a senior case writer and researcher at Harvard’s Global Health Delivery Project, I have had the opportunity to study the strategy and effectiveness of numerous programs operating in resource limited settings around the world. Last year, my work enabled me to get to know Pathfinder International intimately, as I and my team developed a case study of Mukta, one of Pathfinder’s HIV prevention programs in India. Throughout my experience researching the program and working with Pathfinder’s staff there, I came to appreciate the strength of Pathfinder’s human rights framework and its implications for their work on the ground. Mukta works with marginalized female sex workers and men who have sex with men, key populations whose vulnerability to HIV is exacerbated by structural and social factors that create formidable barriers not only to their ability to access HIV prevention and treatment services, but to their day-to-day safety. Pathfinder’s staff united excellent management practices with their human rights framework to build the capacity not only of the local NGOs they deliver services through, but of the communities themselves to set agendas, develop strategies to effect the change they deem most necessary and, ultimately, improve health outcomes. I was consistently impressed by Pathfinder’s commitment to excellence in management and data use practices, as well as their focus on sustainable change both for communities and for the governments who represent them.

I had a really hard time breastfeeding because of my baby’s shallow latch. I got the contact of NMC from a friend and reached out to Tine for help. Tine was incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. She kept in touch and answers all my questions patiently. She came home and showed me different breastfeeding positions and tongue exercise for my baby. I am so grateful for NMC and Tine for all the support.

I have been a volunteer at Pregnant Choices for almost 2 years now and have been able to get to know the staff and see the inner workings of their operation closely. The people who work at Pregnant Choices are dedicated, compassionate and selfless — you could not find a better organization in our area. I feel honored to be able to serve our community at Pregnant Choices with the knowledge that they really make a difference in the lives of others!

After experiencing a stillbirth at 32 weeks during my first pregnancy (which was, according to doctors, perfectly healthy and low risk) every subsequent pregnancy has been a rollercoaster of emotions. Healthy Birth Day, Inc.'s public health campaign, Count the Kicks has given me the tools and education I desperately needed to bond with my babies and be aware of their normal movement patterns. It doesn't completely take the anxiety away (nothing can) but it has been a huge benefit to my mental health during three pregnancies after loss. I became an Ambassador for Count the Kicks with the goal of raising awareness among anyone I come in contact with. Hopefully it will be common knowledge worldwide and help reduce preventable stillbirth.<br><br>(Roles: client served, volunteer, and donor)
